Blogger comments iGoogle gadget

This gadget shows the latest comments of any blogger blog. No posts, only comments! Just input any Blog ID and you are done!

Check your (or anybody's) blog's comments without having to go to blogger, just from your iGoogle home page.

To display the Blogger Comments iGoogle gadget in your home page click this button:

Once the gadget has been added to your page, click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the gadget. You will then be able to click on "edit settings”.

Now you have to get your Blog ID and paste it in the appropriate field. Each blog has its own unique ID number. There are two ways to find the ID of a blog, the first one only works if you own the blog, the second one works for any blogger blog:

ONE (according to Blogger official help):

First, log in to Blogger. Then choose the blog whose ID you want to find, and click on its name in the Dashboard, just like you do when you want to post to it, or change the settings.

From any of the posting, settings, or template pages, you can find your blog's ID number. Just look in your browser's address bar, and you'll see something like this:

At the end of the address, you can see that it says blogID=XXXXXX where the X's represent your blog's ID. In the example above, this is 5910562.

Note: Every blog on your account will have a different ID number, so make sure you get the right one.

TWO (any blogger blog):

Just go to any blog and place your mouse (without clicking) over the comments link you will find under any post. Take a look at your status bar and find something like blogID=XXXXXXXX. The X's represent the blog's ID.

NOTE: Remember that blogID is not the same as postID!!
